Project Overview
A UI/UX case study focused on redesigning a government web portal for managing City Development Charge (Caj Pemajuan) applications in Malaysia. The platform supports applicants managing submissions, documents, and payments, alongside internal planners reviewing and processing applications.
The objective was to simplify a complex multi-phase workflow into a clearer and more accessible experience, especially for users unfamiliar with digital government systems. The redesign prioritised application visibility, contextual next actions, payment transparency, and clearer status communication across both applicant and planner journeys.
My Contributions
I independently handled the end-to-end UI/UX design process for this case study, including conducting UX analysis, simplifying complex workflows, and designing key applicant and planner interfaces. My work focused on improving information hierarchy, making application statuses and next actions clearer, and reducing cognitive load for non-technical users through intuitive layouts, structured flows, and reusable developer-ready UI components in Figma.
